  1. Open a web browser on a computer or laptop and enter the Netgear ReadyNas default IP address i.e. 169.254. x.x in the address bar field. The last two characters are based on your system’s MAC address.

  3. Click on the option “Password recovery”.

  4. Enter the default login credentials in the required fields and in the next field, assign your ReadyNas device a unique password.
